FRIDAY NOVEMBER 6, 2026 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM WELCOME BBQ IN THE PARK

Join Andrew and Christian for a welcoming southern barbeque in Coolidge Park. Situated between the famous Walnut Street Walking Bridge and the Market Street Bridge, Coolidge Park boasts incredible views of the Tennessee River, a historic carousel (open until 7pm), and is just behind the Northshore Merchants Collective, a small street of bespoke shops begging to be browsed. This barbeque is all about casual, easy, and welcome. In addition to some great food and conversation, we're going to be treated to Chattanooga's own, Matt Hicks (see more at www.matthicksmusic.com).

Join us as we take our vows at our church, Pilgrim Congregational! We'll start the afternoon at 3:00 PM with music and light refreshments, an exchange of vows and maybe a few surprises thrown in along the way!

We're going to party in the heart of downtown at one of the world's largest freshwater aquariums. Opened in 1992, the Tennessee Aquarium features over 12,000 animals across two buildings. Tonight we're going to party in the River Journey building. This building follows the path of a raindrop from the Appalachian Mountains to the Gulf of Mexico. It features otters, massive catfish, and alligators. We've closed the Aquarium for this event so we can enjoy the River Journey to ourselves. You'll meander through 3 floors of the Aquarium before joining Christian and Andrew on the back terrace for dinner and dancing on the riverfront.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 8, 2026 11:00 AM BYE-BYE BRUNCH

Andrew and Christian love Chattanooga and invite you to join us for brunch on Sunday morning at 11am at the historic Chattanooga Choo-Choo. This restored train station from 1909 in Beaux-Arts style features an 82-foot dome and some amazing restrooms (restrooms? Yep! They're pretty amazing!) We'll be taking in brunch at Nic and Norman's where you'll find us either on the patio or inside if the weather doesn't cooperate. Brunch usually runs about $20-$25 per person including a non-alcoholic drink.

Welcome to what we consider one of the best cities in America to get outdoors and explore! While you're here, we highly encourage you to walk the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge, which will have just reopened in September after an extensive 18-month $50M renovation. The Walnut St. Bridge, originally built in 1890 is nearly 1/2 mile long and connects downtown Chattanooga to the North Shore. Designed for horse-drawn carriages and cars, the city closed the bridge in 1978 for safety reasons. In the 1980's the city planned to demolish the bridge, but after private citizens and preservation groups stepped in, $10M was raised to save it and it reopened in 1993 as a pedestrian bridge. This is also a great perspective to watch the Head of the Hooch! While on the downtown side you can take a walk to the Hunter Museum of Art, Ross's Landing (the start/finish for the Hooch), and many downtown restaurants. On the North Shore, you'll exit the bridge at Frazier Avenue where you can walk the Frazier Merchants Collective of bespoke shops and eateries.

Stringer's Ridge is a 92-acre urban wilderness park in North Chattanooga, just minutes from downtown (and Andrew and Christian's house). It features 7 miles of multi-use gentle trails for hiking and mountain biking, plus a new paved overlook trail. The park offers sweeping views of the Tennessee River and the city's downtown skyline.

The Chattanooga Zoo is a 13-acre park located in Warner Park, just two miles from downtown. It houses over 100 animal species, including red pandas, snow leopards, and giraffes. Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), it is highly rated for its intimate, layout and animal conservation efforts. From humble beginnings in 1937 the Zoo was established with just two small monkey cages. Over the years it has grown exponentially and is now home to the largest indoor red panda facility in the United States.

: This is a historic, European-style neighborhood. You can visit the art gallery, the River Gallery Sculpture Garden, and grab coffee or baked goods with a river view.

Bluff View Art District

The Hunter Museum of American Art is a premier cultural institution located in Chattanooga's Bluff View Art District. Perched atop an 80-foot limestone bluff overlooking the Tennessee River, the museum showcases a complete chronicle of American art from the Colonial period to the present day. Its unique footprint spans 100 years of architecture across three distinct buildings: a 1905 Classical Revival mansion, a 1970s Brutalist annex, and a sleek 2005 contemporary wing.

Its a PERFECT time of year to head up Lookout Mountain and enjoy the view. Rock City Gardens is an iconic, century-old roadside attraction located atop Lookout Mountain, just six miles from downtown Chattanooga. Geographically situated just over the state line in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, it seamlessly blends massive ancient rock formations, lush botanical gardens with over 500 plant species, and whimsical folklore installations along its famous 4,100-foot Enchanted Trail. Opened in 1932 by Garnet and Frieda Carter, the park gained legendary status through a massive mid-century marketing campaign featuring "See Rock City" slogans painted on over 900 barns across 19 states.

Ruby Falls is the tallest and deepest underground waterfall open to the public in the United States. Located 1,120 feet underground inside Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee, this striking 145-foot waterfall features a colorful, synchronized light show that illuminates the cascading water.

This will be "Big Band" weekend at the Chattanooga Market, held from 11am to 4pm at the historic First Horizon Pavilion. The Chattanooga Market is the region's largest producer-only arts and crafts and farmers' market. It is held every Sunday from April to December at the open-air First Horizon Pavilion in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Things to Do

Andrew and Christian met on November 20, 2018 at Ault Elementary School in Cypress, Texas. It was a cold pre-Thanksgiving evening and the two went on a walk. Andrew thought he was a runner... he'd change his classification that day when he learned how fast and far Christian runs... but they enjoyed their brisk walk and agreed to meet again the next day for a proper jog.What followed was several months of phone calls, texts, another visit to Cypress and a visit to South Florida. Christian (in true Christian style) said "I love you" first, and melted Andrew's heart.Throughout the years (and pandemic!) that followed, the two grew closer -- even achieving top tier frequent flyer status on the nation's beloved (and dearly departed) airline, Spirit. In July of 2021 however, Andrew traveled to Texas one more time -- picked up a U-Haul trailer, and drove together with Christian and kiddos in tow to Naples, Florida where they'd spend the next 2 1/2 years planning their lives together.In 2023 Andrew changed employers, which granted the two geographic freedom. After much deliberation and the ONLY true argument the two have ever had, they moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee - a place they both treasure.Now together, it seems fitting they call on friends and family to join them as they start the next chapter of their lives together as husbands.We couldn't be MORE excited to share our upcoming wedding with you!

CHATTANOOGA SEED THEATRE www.b4ck.org The Seed Theatre is a non-profit organization in Chattanooga. It serves as an inclusive theater company and mutual aid network for marginalized communities, particularly LGBTQIA+ individuals. The Seed Theatre focuses on four main goals: Safety, Community, Connection, and Family. In addition to its theatrical productions in partnership with Barking Legs Theater, The Seed Theatre operates as a community haven - offering one of the only designated LGBTQIA+ safe and sober spaces. They provide mutual aid in fighting food insecurity by running a Hope Community Fridge and coordinates support groups and programs. The Seed Theatre also frequently hosts "Odd Market", a recurring, inclusive marketplace that features local artisans, oddities, live punk music, and drag performances.
